Building Things That Stay Light
A publisher's footprint is mostly paper and servers. We can be honest about both.
This Website
Every public page here is plain HTML built ahead of time and served from a cache. There is no tracking script, no analytics, no advertising code, and no cookies. Simply, put free information with no tracking.
Illustrations are converted to several sizes and the browser takes the smallest one that fits the screen. A phone does not download a picture made for a desktop.
- Pages built ahead of time, not on every visit
- No tracking or advertising code
- Pictures sized to the screen that asks for them
- Video loaded only after someone presses play
Being Mindful About What We Claim
A light website is a small thing. It is worth doing, and it is not a carbon program.
We do not publish emissions figures, we have not set a science-based target, and we are not going to imply otherwise. If and when we measure our footprint, the numbers and the method will be listed below.

Light pages load faster. Honest numbers last longer. Both are worth the work.
