A publisher's footprint is mostly paper and servers. We can be honest about both.
This Website
Every public page here is plain HTML built ahead of time and served from a cache. There is no tracking script, no analytics, no advertising code, and no cookie — so a visit downloads what the page needs and nothing else.
Illustrations are converted to several sizes and the browser takes the smallest one that fits the screen. A phone does not download a picture made for a desktop.

Being Careful About What We Claim
A light website is a small thing. It is worth doing, and it is not a carbon programme.
We do not publish emissions figures, we have not set a science-based target, and we are not going to imply otherwise. If and when we measure our footprint, the numbers and the method will be listed below.
